Over 120 researchers took part in it, 35 of which were foreign scientists. Bulgaria was successfully represented by researchers from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, several other research universities and scientists from institutes of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The conference was attended by both prominent and young scientists in the relevant scientific fields.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/ctt.uctm.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/BiOrgaMCT-Conference-final-programme_18.03.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The program of the scientific forum<\/a> was divided into three main panels &#8211; Biologically Active Molecules, New Generation Advanced Materials, and Photochromic Materials.<\/p><p>During the conference, in the Biologically Active Molecules panel, <a href=\"https:\/\/ctt.uctm.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/BiOrgaMCT-conference_Book-of-abstracts_27.03.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">researches<\/a> were presented by leading researchers from France, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic and Macedonia, as well as by a number of leading scientists from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The researches were mainly related to biologically active natural and synthetic molecules with diverse structure and properties, determination of their key and specific properties and activities, methodologies for their synthesis and extraction from natural sources, as well as their application in the field of medicine, pharmacy and diagnostics. The presented researches became the basis for fruitful discussions and plans for future collaborative developments by the participating teams.<\/p><p>Another thematic panel within the international conference was New Generation Advanced Materials panel. One plenary and 14 oral presentations were delivered by renowned scientists from 7 countries (Germany, Spain, Portugal, USA, Czech Republic, Romania and Bulgaria). With 10 poster reports, younger researchers were also included, some of whom also participated in the Flash poster session.<\/p><p>The panel dedicated to photochromic materials included presentations from leading scientists from Japan, the Czech Republic, France, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom and Bulgaria. Thanks to the traditions of long-standing collaborative research activities and collaborative scientific publications, an extremely stimulating atmosphere was achieved for discussions and exchange of the latest achievements in the scientific field. Special participation was taken by a researcher from Strasbourg, a city with a proven contribution to chemistry, as well as a representative of the scientific group of a Nobel laureate in the field of photochromic materials from the Netherlands. The conference helped to strengthen the partnership relations and the desire for future cooperation, outlining new horizons for joint researches and innovations in the dynamically developing field.<\/p><p>During the conference, the participants had the opportunity to visit the laboratories of the <a href=\"https:\/\/uctm.edu\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy<\/a>, and a walking tour of the historical centre of Sofia was organized for the foreign participants. After the end of the official scientific part, the foreign guests visited the city of Plovdiv, where they enjoyed the centuries-old cultural traditions of one of the oldest cities of modern civilization, and some of them also visited an impressive folklore performance organized by <a href=\"https:\/\/try.artacademyplovdiv.com\/EN\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts &#8220;Prof. Asen Diamandiev&#8221; \u2013 Plovdiv.<\/a><\/p><p>The conference was organized in the framework of project<a href=\"https:\/\/ctt.uctm.edu\/en\/about-the-project-biorgamct\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \u201eBiOrgaMCT\u201c<\/a> (Bioactive organic and inorganic materials and clean technologies) by procedure: BG-RRP-2.004 \u2013 Creation of a network of research universities in Bulgaria under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div Bioactive, Organic and Inorganic Advanced Materials and Clean Technologies was held at Grand Hotel Sofia. Over 120 researchers took part in it, 35 of which were foreign scientists. Bulgaria was successfully represented by researchers from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, several other research universities and scientists from institutes of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The conference was attended by both prominent and young scientists in the relevant scientific fields.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/ctt.uctm.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/BiOrgaMCT-Conference-final-programme_18.03.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The program of the scientific forum<\/a> was divided into three main panels &#8211; Biologically Active Molecules, New Generation Advanced Materials, and Photochromic Materials.<\/p><p>During the conference, in the Biologically Active Molecules panel, <a href=\"https:\/\/ctt.uctm.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/BiOrgaMCT-conference_Book-of-abstracts_27.03.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">researches<\/a> were presented by leading researchers from France, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic and Macedonia, as well as by a number of leading scientists from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The researches were mainly related to biologically active natural and synthetic molecules with diverse structure and properties, determination of their key and specific properties and activities, methodologies for their synthesis and extraction from natural sources, as well as their application in the field of medicine, pharmacy and diagnostics. The presented researches became the basis for fruitful discussions and plans for future collaborative developments by the participating teams.<\/p><p>Another thematic panel within the international conference was New Generation Advanced Materials panel. One plenary and 14 oral presentations were delivered by renowned scientists from 7 countries (Germany, Spain, Portugal, USA, Czech Republic, Romania and Bulgaria). With 10 poster reports, younger researchers were also included, some of whom also participated in the Flash poster session.<\/p><p>The panel dedicated to photochromic materials included presentations from leading scientists from Japan, the Czech Republic, France, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom and Bulgaria. Thanks to the traditions of long-standing collaborative research activities and collaborative scientific publications, an extremely stimulating atmosphere was achieved for discussions and exchange of the latest achievements in the scientific field. Special participation was taken by a researcher from Strasbourg, a city with a proven contribution to chemistry, as well as a representative of the scientific group of a Nobel laureate in the field of photochromic materials from the Netherlands. The conference helped to strengthen the partnership relations and the desire for future cooperation, outlining new horizons for joint researches and innovations in the dynamically developing field.<\/p><p>During the conference, the participants had the opportunity to visit the laboratories of the <a href=\"https:\/\/uctm.edu\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy<\/a>, and a walking tour of the historical centre of Sofia was organized for the foreign participants. After the end of the official scientific part, the foreign guests visited the city of Plovdiv, where they enjoyed the centuries-old cultural traditions of one of the oldest cities of modern civilization, and some of them also visited an impressive folklore performance organized by <a href=\"https:\/\/try.artacademyplovdiv.com\/EN\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Academy of
