After the lecture, a fruitful discussion was held on the possible industrial applications of the developed elastomeric composites.<\/p><p>The discussion was attended by Assoc. Prof. Ivan Stankov, member of the Management Board of the BCCI; Dr. Vasil Todorov, Deputy Chairman of the BCCI; Simeon Angelov, Deputy Chairman of the Bulgarian-Israeli Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Rositsa Popova, Marketing expert in the Commercial Department of the Austrian Embassy, representatives of institutes from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, representatives of TU Sofia, PU \u2018Paisii Hilendarski\u2019 and UCTM, representatives of the companies Fluid Codes, Lackprom, Meteco AD, Radesol Bulgaria OOD, ART Monbat Bulgaria, the Union of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Communications, etc. The most important results of the project development are as follows:<\/p><ul><li>Carbon nanostructures\u2014nanotubes and the waste product from the plasma decomposition of methane for obtaining hydrogen &#8211; have been successfully used as functional fillers in composites based on butadiene-acrylonitrile rubber, produced in the form of sheets or as paint for creating electromagnetic shielding or static electricity protection coatings. No technological problems have been identified in their industrial production.<\/li><li>The developed composites are protected by intellectual property rights and a registered trademark and can be used in various areas of industry, as electromagnetic shielding is necessary to protect workspaces and the environment from harmful ultra-high frequency electromagnetic radiation from various sources. Antistatic coatings are also an important element in various manufacturing processes, especially when working with flammable and explosive materials \u2013 they can be used as floor coverings, work surface coatings, bags for storing explosive materials, etc. Some of the composites can also be used as substrates and insulating layers in flexible antennas for wireless
