MONBAT<\/a> and the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy \u2013 Sofia signed an agreement for collaborative scientific research activities. Under the agreement, the university is committed to developing a project on &#8220;Researching the possibilities for using hybrid combinations of carbon nanostructures in the production of protectors for pneumatic tires and technical rubber products.&#8221;<\/p><p>The thesis of the project is based on the expected emergence of synergistic effects between hybrid combinations of carbon nanofillers, which will lead to a significant improvement in the performance characteristics of the composite materials containing them, to a greater extent than when the fillers from the hybrid combinations are used individually.\u00a0 The proposed hybrid combinations of carbon nanostructures will replace part of the carbon black used as a classic filler.<\/p><p>The agreement, concluded for a period of 6 months, aims to develop and optimize compositions for elastomeric composites by April 15, 2026. The research work is jointly funded by A.R.T. MONBAT and the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, which is financing 50% of the amount needed to develop the project through means from the budget of the Centre for Technology Transfer under Contract No.: BG-RRP-2.004-0002, \u201cBiOrgaMCT\u201d under procedure: BG-RRP-2.004 \u2013 \u201cEstablishment of a network of research universities in Bulgaria\u201d under the National Plan
