The University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy in Sofia is pleased to invite you to its first annual scientific conference of the scientific research program BiOrgaMCT. The conference will be held in Sofia, information about the venue will be available soon on the conference website.
The conference is funded by the European Union-NextGenerationEU, through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Republic of Bulgaria, project BG-RRP-2.004-0002 BiOrgaMCT.
Topics of the conference
- Light-Responsive Materials
- Advance in fluorescent molecular sensors and molecular logic gates based on chemical inputs
- Multifunctional cutting-edge materials for mechatronics and biomedicine
- Photoanisotropic azopolymer and nanocomposite materials for polarization holography and photonics
- Biomolecules with application in the medicine, pharmacy and diagnostics
- Bioactive molecules from design to characterization and application in biomedicine
- Experimental study and modeling of the degradation of structural materials in energy systems
- Materials and processes for producing hydrogen by electrolysis and photo-electrolysis
All participants could publish their study after peer review process with acceptance from the reviewers in Open access form in:
- Current research in biotechnology (Elsevier)
- Materials (MDPI Switzerland)

Deadlines:
First deadline for abstracts: 15 January 2025
Second deadline: 30 January 2025
The accommodation costs of the approved participants in the conference and social programme are at the expense of the organizers (BiOrgaMCT project). Cultural events (excursions) are also planned for the period 26-28 March 2025 in Bulgaria imminent cultural sites, which will be announced additionally on the conference website.
Additional travel grants (scholarships) are also provided for up to 5 young scientists and doctoral students to cover their transportation costs.
