About the course
The aim of the course “Protection of objects of industrial property – patents, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks under national and international order” is to increase awareness in the field of industrial property and increase theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of patents and the useful models of the academic research community.
Special attention is paid to the requirements for issuing patents and registration of utility models, the procedure for applying for national patents. For this purpose, the requirements for patentability, the application procedure and the examination of inventions are explained in detail. Drafting of a patent application, description, claims, abstract and drawings are considered. The difference between an invention and a utility model is also under discussion.
The training and practical activities in the course are aimed at mastering practical knowledge and skills such as:
- Knowledge of the requirements, application procedure and expertise of the claimed objects of industrial property under national and international order, as well as the importance of their legal protection.
- The skills acquired from the lectures and practical activities help to protect the created objects of industrial property.
The training takes place in a volume of 20 hours, of which 13 hours are lectures and 7 hours are practical classes. Certificates are issued to the training participants.
