An article about the Technology transfer and technology commercialization training in “Automatica and Informatics” journal

The article “From theory to practice: technology transfer and commercialization of scientific research at the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy”, dedicated to the training course on Technology transfer and commercialization of technologies, was published in Issue 1/2024 of the “Automatica and Informatics” journal, issued by The John Atanasoff Society of Automatics and Informatics (SAI).
The purpose of the article is to present the partnership, the process and the program of the training course on technology transfer and technology commercialization conducted by the company The Edge: R&BD at the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy with the support of the BiOrgaMCT project (Bioactive Organic and Inorganic Advanced Materials and Clean Technologies ) under the National Plan for Recovery and Sustainability in implementation of Contract No.: BG-RRP-2.004-0002-C02, showing and discussing its results for UCTM and its future development.
The partnership between the researchers and lecturers from UCTM and those working at The Edge: R&BD has been going on for many years, and in recent years it has deepened taking into account the new opportunities for commercialization of scientific research. As a result of the partnership between CTT (Centre for Technology Transfer) at UCTM and the spin-off company of Junior Achievement Bulgaria (JAB) The Edge: R&BD, the training described in the article by Prof. N. Dishovski, Assoc. Dr. Petko Ruskov and Prof. S. Terzieva-Zhelyazkova is organized.
“Automatica and Informatics” journal is a specialized Bulgarian scientific journal on automatics and informatics – two leading and fast developing areas of scientific and technical progress in Bulgaria and the world. The journal publishes articles in Bulgarian and English. Only original articles that have not been published or accepted for publication in other journals and contain original contributions are considered. Articles published in the journal “Automatica and Informatics” are indexed in Publons (WoS), Google Scholar, ResearchGate and others.
