About the cooperation
According to the order of the Rector of UCTM a business trip was carried out at the University of Foggia and Polytechnic of Bari in Italy with the task “Technology transfer” (implementing project BG-RRP-2.004-0002-C01, BiOrgaMCT – Bioactive organic and inorganic advanced materials and clean technologies, according to procedure: BG-RRP-2.004 – Creation of a network of research higher schools in Bulgaria under the National Plan for Recovery and Sustainability). The visit was attended by Assist. Prof. PhD Petia Romanova researcher of the project and Assoc. Prof. PhD Stanislava Kovacheva – expert from CTT to UCTM.
The following were visited: „International Major Projects” in University of Foggia, Italy and the Department of Mechanics, Mathematics & Management, Polytechnic of Bari, Italy. Two working meetings planned in advance by Assist. Prof. PhD Petia Romanova with colleagues from both structures at the universities were held.
The result of these meetings was fruitful, especially with the contacts established during the meetings with several representatives of the structures at the two Italian universities. The expectations are for a significant impact on the direction of development of the activities and the future structuring of the CTT at the UCTM. During the discussions, it became clear that there are sufficient opportunities for cooperation in the field of implementing new technologies in practice and for business cooperation, as well as in the field of scientific research in different scientific fields such as engineering ecology and sustainable development. An invitation for a return visit and participation in the project conference in the spring of 2025 was positively accepted.
