The first training on 3D scanning, modelling and printing was completed

16.01.2024

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (3D Center) in cooperation with the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, B2N Ltd., Cluster Hoisting Devices Ltd.and Unmanned Systems Bulgaria completed their first training on 3D scanning, 3D modeling and 3D printing.

During the training, the participants – habilitated professors, assistant lecturers and PhD students – got acquainted in detail with the functional capabilities of the Artec Leo and Artec Micro 3D scanners and 3D printing machines of world-famous brands such as ULTIMAKER, MARKFORGED, FORMLABS. During the course, the trainees tested various 3D scanning and printing techniques in practice, and were introduced to the variety of cases in which they can be used.

Participants were divided into teams that worked on the processes of scanning, modeling, printing and assembling parts for a drone, which then had to be assembled to form a fully functional aircraft. At the end of the course, the drones made test flights with the printed parts.

As a result of the successful tests, all course participants received their certificates.
