About the Conference
The University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy in Sofia is pleased to invite you to the second annual scientific conference of the scientific research program BiOrgaMCT. The conference is funded by the European Union-NextGenerationEU, through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Republic of Bulgaria, project BG-RRP-2.004-0002 BiOrgaMCT.
- Bioactive compounds – synthesis, extraction and biological activity study
- New generation materials for advanced structural, biomedical and opto-electronic applications
- Light-responsive and functional materials
- Electrochemical methods for material studies
- Molecular separation: science and technologies
Abstract submission deadline: 15 October 2025
Notification of abstract acceptance: 15 December 2025
The presented studies will be published in a high ranking journals.

The accommodation costs of the approved participants in the conference are at the expense of the organizers (BiOrgaMCT project).
Hotel check-in and an evening welcome cocktail reception will take place on the 26th April.
Cultural events (excursions) are also planned for the period 29-30th April in Bulgaria imminent cultural sites, which will be announced additionally on the conference website.
Additional travel grants (scholarships) are also provided for up to 5 young scientists and doctoral students to cover their transportation costs.
