About the Conference

The University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy in Sofia is pleased to invite you to its second annual scientific conference of the scientific research program BiOrgaMCT. The conference is funded by the European Union-NextGenerationEU, through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Republic of Bulgaria, project BG-RRP-2.004-0002 BiOrgaMCT.

  • Bioactive compounds – synthesis, extraction and biological activity study
  • New generation  materials for advanced structural, biomedical and opto-electronic applications
  • Light responsive and functional materials
  • Electrochemical methods for material studies

First deadline for abstracts: 15 October 2025

Second deadline: 31 October 2025

The conference proceedings will be published in the following journals: Current research in biotechnology and Materials MDPI Switzerland and other scientific journals.

The accommodation costs of the approved participants in the conference are at the expense of the organizers (BiOrgaMCT project). Cultural events (excursions) are also planned for the period 29-30 April in Bulgaria imminent cultural sites, which will be announced additionally on the conference website.

Additional travel grants (scholarships) are also provided for up to 5 young scientists and doctoral students to cover their transportation costs.
