The Ministry of Innovation and Growth is launching a call for project funding under the program “Scientific Research, Innovation, and Digitalization for Smart Transformation” 2021-2027, Procedure BG16RFPR002-1.010 Green and Digital Partnerships for Smart Transformation.
Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises can apply jointly with universities and scientific organizations. Companies can apply for between BGN 100,000 and BGN 1,500,000 in grant aid. The co-financing rate is between 50% and 80%, depending on the category of companies, the type of aid (for industrial research or experimental development) and the region in which the project is implemented, with a higher rate if the company has a scientific organization (university) as a partner.
The measure will finance the testing or validation of innovative technologies and products, prototyping, modeling, or other validation tests. Business plans for commercialization in high value-added markets, studies of growth prospects, intellectual property protection, analysis of competitive technologies, etc. may be developed.
Project proposals must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on February 16, 2026.
For companies that decide to participate jointly with the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy as a partner, the University’s Center for Technology Transfer will actively assist in the preparation of the project proposal.
